This Austrian holiday apartment is new for 2009.

Set in the beautiful Austrian village of Kaprun, close to the market town of Zell am Zee which is famous for its lake. The area has a host of interesting places to visit and activities and sports to take part in both summer and winter.

The chalet apartment features 3 bedrooms, with a family bathroom and 2 further en-suite shower rooms, and will comfortably sleep 6-9 people.

Great location and great facilities

The apartment is located close to the Kaprun village centre which is a level 10 minute walk away, and the nearest ski bus stop is only a brief 1-2 minute walk, the nearest supermarket is even closer. The apartment terrace has a superb view of the 3204 metre high Kitzsteinhorn mountain with its glacier, where skiing and snowboarding can take place all year round.

The apartment is modern, 110m2 all on one level. The walk into the centre of Kaprun village is also on the level. The apartment has the benefit of a well equipped luxury kitchen with granite worktops and a dining area which comfortably sits up to 9 people. Adjacent to the kitchen / dining area is the lounge with a comfortable leather sofa to relax after your meal. The holiday apartment has the benefit of televisions, DVD, internet access provision, radio, and indeed is your home from home. The emphasis on furnishing the apartment is on quality and the comfort of our guests. you will not be disappointed with your choice of Austrian Holiday Apartment.

In the apartment basement comes an underground car parking space, with the added benefit of a second above ground car parking place being provided. The apartment also benefits from having a lockable ski store room to store your ski equipment, golf clubs or cycles. Outside the premises there is a large terrace leading into the garden area. From the terrace there are stunning views of the mountains, and the Kitzsteinhorn at 3203 metres, with its glacier and mountain restaurants it can clearly be seen.

The Ski bus stop is a brief 1-2 minutes away and a short ride takes you to any of the three ski areas which makes up the joint Europa Ski area of Kaprun and Zell am See which provides plenty of scope for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The ski area has the benefit of 57 ski lifts, with easy access to the glacier there is guaranteed skiing with the exception of the 3 week maintenance period in summer, there are also a number of excellent ski schools for those who want to learn or improve their skiing. The Ski areas of Sallbach and Hinterglemm are just a few short miles away and are readily accessible by car, along with the Gastein valley which is famous for its thermally heated spas / ski resorts. Within 100 metres of the apartment there is the start of an extensive footpath / cycle way network which leads to Zell am See and for the more adventurous it is even possible to follow the valley bottom cycle to Salzburg and beyond!

The joint Ski areas Sallbach and Hinterglemm a just a few short miles away and are readily accessible by car, along with the Gastein valley ski resorts, famous for its thermal spas.

Within 100 yards of the apartment there is an extensive footpath / cycle way network which leads to Zell am See and much further a field along the valley bottom.

For those who are more energetic there are mountain walks galore, and high level routes for those wishing to go mountain biking, mountaineering or climbing. Whether it is for nature, culture, spas, sports lovers, sightseeing or for those who just like to relax, Kaprun holiday apartment is your ideal base in Austria, with the added attraction of the beautiful and historic cities of Salzburg and Innsbruck close by, and easily accessible by car or via the excellent Austrian railway service.

Places to visit things to do

This really is an idyllic location just a few minutes from the village centre where you will find many shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The village swimming pool / spa is only 800 metres away, a short gentle stroll. Nearby airports are at Salzburg approximately 90kms away at 1 hour 15 minutes travel time. Munich 200kms and 2 1/2 hours away. It is also possible to fly to Innsbruck which is approx 90 minutes away.

The other option is perhaps make your holiday a two centre one and perhaps spend a few days in Venice or Prague of Venice, all of which are just few hours drive away.

Golf in Kaprun and Zell am See area. Nestling in the valley bottom surrounded by glorious mountains is the Kaprun and Zell am See golf club

This club welcomes visitors and has the benefit of not just one 18 hole golf course but two! at par 72 /73. A further 9 hole course extension is planned for the future.

The courses are located in the sunny Salzach Valley with amazing mountain views of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The fairways nestling beside each other, they form a flat, park-like terrain that includes several lakes to enhance your enjoyment. The golf courses will be generally open with the melting of the snows in the valley from around April through to the return of the snows in the valley bottom in November.

Spas:

A visit to one of the areas spas in highly recommended to soothe those aching muscles, to revitalize and refresh you. Some are even environmentally friendly by being thermally heated?

Light Aircraft flights:

Close to the golf course is a private aerodome owned by the Porche car family. Flights over the alps can be arranged, a special trip for a special area - enjoy.

Walking / Rambling:

There is superb walking along the valley bottom on well defined footpaths and at higher levels the options quickly multiply. The area is a joy to behold with beautiful scenery to discover.
