Bayerisch Eisenstein is about 10 hours driving time from Calais - the same as the South of France - and 2 hours by car from Munich, Prague or Linz airports. There are train services from Munich and Prague.
Arrival and departure can be on any day of the week and your stay can be any number of days.
A car is not essential as there are good local train and bus services. We provide a free transfer service from the local station to the house.
The apartments are a few metres from the Bavarian Forest National Park, shops, restaurants and the Czech border. There are peaceful walks, cycling/mountain biking, tennis, riding, skiing and snowboarding on the Arber mountain and cross country skiing everywhere. History and culture are all around. There is a wider variety of things to do and see here than almost anywhere else in Europe.
In the largest range of forested mountains in Central Europe, on the border with the Czech Republic, half way between Munich and Prague, British-owned Haus Sterr offers 5 spacious, beautifully modernised 'full service' holiday apartments in 2 adjacent houses.
The area is packed with things to do - sporting, cultural, historical, plenty for children, in both Germany and Czech Republic. And entrance prices are extremely low compared with the UK, so visitors never have to worry about what they can afford to do.
