Built in the 1800's but recently modernised and retaining many original features, the houses are built of honey coloured sandstone that reflects the Italian sun. This keeps the inside cool during the balmy summer months yet insulates the property during winter.
This gorgeous area of gently sloping hills and valleys is just fifteen minutes from the stunning Sibillini Mountains, yet it is less than an hour from the sandy beaches of the Riviera Adriatica.
Sei Camini offers spacious accomodation (450m2) over two distinct self-contained properties connected by a loggia (communal entrance hall). Properties can be rented separately if bookings allow outside of summer months.
The properties will sleep up to 18 people in comfort: Casa Grande sleeps 12 and Casa Piccola sleeps 6.

The houses are set in over 2 hectares of rolling meadows.
Deciduous woodland, full of delightful birdsong borders the property to the west.
From June the fireflies, frogs and crickets will entertain you with their very own 'Son et Lumière' show!
The views to the north and south are across unspoilt hills and valleys and at dawn, the hilltop villages of Monte San Martino and Penna San Giovanni are silhouetted against the long view of the Roman city of Fermo.
To top it all, there is a fabulous Roman stepped pool to keep cool during those hot Summer days.
The swimming pool is in full sunshine all day, but wisteria covered pergolas and mature willow trees, not to mention umbrellas, provide welcome shade. The pool slopes gently, with a ledge for non swimmers and is only deep in the centre. Pool temperatures are usually over 25°C during the summer.

Ground Floor:
Property is entered via the loggia that connects the two houses. Outdoor toys such as swingball, mini croquet, hoopla, boules etc are kept here for your enjoyment and shared with Casa Grande.
A full-sized fold-away table-tennis table, bats and balls are kept here too - ideal for inter-house tournaments. The loggia ceiling is high enough to allow outrageous lobs and smashes!
There is also a communal drinks fridge with an additional freezer should it be required.
To the right is the front door leading into the-
Kitchen:
A fully fitted beamed kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher and a raised open fireplace. The kitchen has new pots, pans, crockery and cutlery together with glasses and plastic beakers for use outside around the barbecue and pool area.
First Floor:
On the first floor there is an atrium (the original heart of Sei Camini) with original tile flooring and an open fireplace. A children’s ‘pod’ seat (optional) hangs from the rafters. Doors off the atrium lead to two bedrooms, one of which is through an ante chamber.
Bedroom 1 - King size wrought iron bed, wardrobe, two chests of drawers, a radiator, a side table, exposed beams and many original features. Separate ante chamber/cot area.
Bedroom 2 - twin beds, a chest of drawers, side table, radiator. Views over nearby hill top villages.
Four stairs from the atrium lead to:
Bedroom 3 - a very large (25m2) master bedroom, with a king-size wrought iron bed, side tables, chairs, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, a radiator, small fridge and a sofa. Wooden flooring throughout. The mezzanine overlooks the dining area. Curtains can be drawn to close the bedroom off from the dining area.
All the bedrooms have lovely views over the hills, either towards Penna San Giovanni and Monte San Martino or towards the Sibillini Mountains.
Shower Room - From the living room a short flight of stairs leads down to a substantial fully tiled shower room with bidet, WC, washbasin and washing machine.
Outside:
Three sets of doors lead from the living/dining rooms to the garden which has a large lawned area, olive and other fruit and nut trees, pergolas, two barbecue areas with tables and chairs and a 10m x 5m swimming pool. The views from the pool are magnificent. The pool is not overlooked by other houses but can be seen from Casa Grande with which it is shared.
Sei Camini is set in two hectares. The pool and surrounding lawns, the four rows of vines, the fruit and olive trees are set in a hectare of gently rolling hillside. There is enough flat ground to play badminton, football or frisbee.
Two large (up to 3.5m each) teak tables and 20 chairs are available for al fresco dining.
A built in barbeque (spot lit, for cooking after dark) and the original pizza oven are in good working order and available for use. A portable barbeque is also available for larger parties.
The swimming pool slopes gently, there are Roman Steps to enter and a ledge round the edge - but the centre is deep enough for jumping/diving.
The pool is alarmed. There is a sensor alarm at the pool. When activated, the sensors can detect waves from falling objects weighing more than 7kg and sound a 120 decibel siren.
Beyond the grounds, unworked pasture land and woods extend for a few hectares across and down the valley. Our nearest neighbours are out of sight, half a km away. (The two nearest houses are currently uninhabited).
To the west, beyond the seldom used access road, is the other hectare of virgin forest. This slopes steeply down to the valley bottom and is inpenetrable - a haven for a large variety of wildlife.
In the east, the Le Marche coastline is lapped by the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea and in the west is protected by the Sibillini Mountains, a part of the Apennine range. The natural beauty of the Marche region extends from the Monte Sibillini mountain range in the Apennines, which provides skiing in the winter and has an abundance of hiking trails, to the Adriatic shore with it's resorts and fishing villages.
Its culture is closely related to its neighbours, Tuscany and Umbria, and yet is quite distinctive - as yet unspoilt with varied cuisine of locally produced rural fare and fantastic seafood as one would expect from the Adriatic.
It is an area with renowned health spas, local handicrafts still being produced in the same manner they were in the last century and many local fairs; especially the new wine, the fungi and truffle fairs usually held in the autumn.
Monte San Martino:
Our local village of Monte San Martino has a population of approximately 800 people and stands some 600 metres above sea level and is a village of great interest, standing in a good position precariously jutting out over the valley of the river Tenna. In its churches are preserved wonderful artistic works by Carlo and Vittore Crivelli and Giovanni da Camerino dating back to the 15th. Century - Prince Charles visited Monte San Martino to view the artwork and had lunch in the local restaurant in the piazza!
Monte Sibillini National Park: Whether it is summer or winter the mountains of Le Marche have something to offer to the hiker and lovers of winter sports alike.
Ancient legend has it that the Lago di Pilato in the high Appenines is reddened by the blood of the devil.
There are great walks such as a pass known as Golla dell'Infernaccio (the gorge of hell) and one can also visit a cave in which legend says that a soothsayer lived.
In addition to these legends, the Monte Sibillini National Park is the most beautiful part of the Apennine range that are, in places, Alpine in character and extend to forty kilometres (25 miles) in length from the Valley of the Fiastrone to Force Canapine with many peaks in excess of 2,000 metres in height.
The summit of the Bove Mountain can be reached by the highest cable car in the Apennine range, rising to over 2,100 metres.
The best way of exploring the Sibillini is on foot however, with the most agreeable bases for touring being the numerous medieval towns and villages scattered around the foot of the mountains.
