The house has totally four bedrooms which can sleep 7 people : 2 doubles, 1 with two single beds, another one with a single bed. There are 2 bathrooms both with shower.
All the furniture are antiques and originally property of the family.
There is a covered and lovely patio outside the main door with garden furniture where you can seat and sip a glass of wine and enjoy the village's daily life.
Access to the house (2 steps) from the village square; the area is a pedestrian one, so you can easily sit in front of the house area and sip your drink (a small table is available in the accommodation).
The beautiful living area has one big fireplace and satellite TV (free on air), is connected by a big arch with the dining area where 8 people can be accommodated.
All the floors are in 'cotto toscano' (original Tuscan tiles) and the walls are the original stones or painted with natural colour. The kitchen has is own 17th century old sink.
The large living room has an enormous fireplace still working ( please ask for the wood ), the beautiful veranda is the original stones and bricks
This nice apartment used to be a portion of the ancient farm, now called Casa di Vignolo, and precisely the barn and stables where cows and donkey used to be lodged.
The owners have recently restored the house with much care, respecting the original features in full, and provided an excellent level of comfort.

On top of a 350m(1150ft) hillside, it's the perfect spot for breathtaking views of the Arno Valley.
The most important cultural town are a short drive away, but don't forget to dedicate part of your time to explore the beautiful Valdarno valley: although it's very famous in Tuscany for the industrial development, restricted in particular areas, however it conserve untouched landscapes and artistic heritage that deserve your visit.
Old villages with derived names directly from the Etruscan time as Loro Ciuffenna, Gropina or Cennina, castles and parish churches, wait you to make your holiday unforgettable.
The veranda, where enjoy a glass of wine, is open directly on the small square of the village and has garden furniture.
Because the square is a pedestrian area, the place is particularly quiet and clean .
Pergine Valdarno is a very typical small village in Tuscany , surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. According to documents found in the Granducato di Toscana archives, the village was built around 1050.
The climate is beautiful...
... as well, during the summer a slight mountain breeze cools the air and in the winter the dry mountain air gives you clear days.
While the village of Pergine Valdarno retains its Old World charm it still offers all the modern conveniences such as a grocery, bakery, butcher, restaurant, bank, post office, pharmacy and police station.
The guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at the farmhouse 'Podere il Doccio'. Use of the swimming pool is free. On request it's possible to rent cycles or reserve the horses at the farmhouse 'Podere il Doccio' for horse riding .
