Mellieha is the opposite end of the island from the heavily populated south. This is where the Maltese come to rest and play. Cheap buses can take you all over the island. Malta has much history and architecture from 4000 year old temples to the heavily fortified must see - Valletta. There are great views from the apartment, which is half way up the hill from the beach to the bustling "village". The excellent Half Way Bar / Restaurant is really close and has some live entertainment and dancing. One double room can be made into a twin room on request.
