We are 1 hour from either Granada, Málaga or Córdoba airports or train stations. We are 45 mins from Antequera train station. As we are in the heart of Andalucia, surrounded by so many rural activities in all directions, we would consider a car to be essential in order to make the most of a countryside holiday.

Rute - One of our Local Towns
Clinging to the side of the southernmost beginnings of the Sierra Subbética, Rute is home to the famous BELEN. Belen is Spanish for the Nativity Scene, and Rute each year around the 12th October opens the doors of Galleros to millions of people coming from all over to witness :
The Chocolate Belen !
Eight metres by four metres approximately, and crafted in White, Milk and Dark Chocolate, the smell alone is enough to make you shop for the wide array of sumptuous chocolate tempters after your visit ...
A Little About Córdoba ....
Córdoba city explodes into life in May with a month of Fiestas, most reknowned being "Los Patios" - when hidden away courtyard gardens open up to the public for ten precious days ...
In August, Córdoba celebrates Noches de Embrujo or Magical Nights, including live Flamenco shows, their annual Guitar Festival, Andalucian Horse Shows and of course the world famous Mezquita Mosque is always open.
Córdoba is also the northern tip of the Montilla Moriles Wine Route and offers museums, waterparks, botanical gardens, children's play areas and exquisite Moorish architecture.
A Little About Málaga ...
A deeply spanish seaside town, Málaga is mostly abandonned by the tourists as they fly into the airport and then leave for their holiday destination ... which means that it has been preserved and unspoilt through all the changes that the coasts have seen...
The Cathedral, archaeology of the Alcazaba, Picasso's Museum and the main Calle Larios shopping precinct are all worthy of a little time. Street artists can be found acting for a few cents, and at Christmas the decorations are magical and Dickensian ...
You can walk from the main high street to a lovely quiet beach in less than 20 minutes through the unspoilt botanical gardens that run alongside the Ayuntamiento (City Hall) ...
A Little About Granada ...
An hour from Granada places us within striking distance of the exquisite Alhambra Palace, the Sierra Nevada ski resort, and the beautiful scenery around Granada including the Alpujarras and cave dwellings of Guadix.
Granada offers a wonderful day trip and the bus rides around Sacromonte and Albaycin are worth every cent of the outrageous 1€ price tag! You can get off and on, stopping for tapas in the little bars where you may find an impromptu burst of flamenco music ...
Testimonials and Reviews :
"My son and I fancied a little adventure in Spain over half term and settled for a short break at Casa La Celada. Having found the bed and breakfast on the internet - great site - we booked in, wanting an English speaking landlady. With a stupendous welcome our first evening was spent planning our trip with the help of Amanda and her delightful son Zack. They really know the area and are great on their recommendations - very helpful.
So much to do in the area, something for everyone, the village is lovely and sleepy, but so close to stunning scenery, museums, lakes, shopping, and Malaga if you fancy the beach.
The house itself was extremely well organised and comfortable, I had the suite with an ensuite and sitting area, all wonderfully clean and peaceful. I think the real added benefit was the hot tub perfect to relax in at the end of the day. Supper is optional we had delicious meal in with Amanda one night and the breakfasts certainly catered for all needs."
"After spending too many nights over too many years in too many hotels, the thought of yet another week away from home was NOT appealing. After four passable nights in Marbella, I decided to visit Iznájar, a town I had heard much of but had yet to visit.
Am I glad I did!! From the moment I arrived and was greeted like a long-lost elderly relative to the moment I left vowing to myself to be back soon, I had the absolute perfect stay. The room was immaculate and spacious (pay extra for the suite if it is available), the whole casa was spotless and the view from the roof terrace was to die for. I did NOTHING but completely relax and caught up on several months of sleep deprivation. I felt calm, secure, relaxed and amazed (AND delighted) that I had high speed wifi. Heaven on earth!
Ladies and gentlemen - believe me it does NOT get better.
