The Atocha neighbourhood, located in the Arganzuela district, is primarily a residential area. It is located very close to the historical city centre and just metres away from interests spots like the Atocha train station, the Ferrocarril Museum or the Prado Museum in the Paseo del Prado.

There are many shops in the area and you can find tapas in many of the local bars. This neighbourhood is a good choice for travellers who want to stay in an area with good transport links (both by subway and bus), in an active and popular neighbourhood but not as populated as those others closer to Sol.

This zone is probably one of the most active and popular outside the main downtown city centre.
