The picturesque town of Yalikavak lies on the north west tip of the Bodrum peninsula,one of Turkey's most historically important and beautiful areas. Formerly a Fishing and Sponge Divers village Yalikavak is renowned for it's superb sunsets,unspoilt shorelines, sparkling clean seas and Windmills!

The local area
Wishing well is a leisurely 5 - 10 minute stroll from the centre, marina & seafront. The new marina has many stylish shops & restaurants as well as a modern amphitheatre for entertainment,boats from around the world drop anchor here.The old harbour is lined with numerous bars and restaurants, many of which are renowned for their fish dishes,the daily caught fish being sourced from the boats alongside.
Boat trips can be booked from the harbour taking in secluded bays and stops for swimming,lunch is normally included.

Local shops provide all you need for a self catering holiday, including Bakery for freshly baked hot bread & pastries, Delicious!
If your stay is during the Mandarin Season, you are welcome to pick some from the garden for delicious freshly squeezed juice perfect with breakfast on the terrace!
Thursday is market day in Yalikavak, one of the biggest markets on the peninsula,
a must visit for locally grown fruit & vegetables, cheeses & other
delicacies of the region . clothing and various other, be sure to haggle it's expected.

Up in the hills behind Wishing Well lies the old village of Sandima,where there is an art gallery & cafe and some wonderful views!
If you decide to explore further afield,
From the Dolmus (bus) station you can catch a bus to most places on the peninsula so a car isn't necessary. Gumusluk, Turgutreis ,Bitez, neighbouring Gundogan is a lovely bay with various watersports on offer, Bodrum for it's shopping and bustling nightlife, Historic St Peters castle,and the Temple of Mausolus, the second of the seven wonders of the world. You can also spend a day in the nearby Greek Island of Kos taking the high speed ferry from Bodrum harbour,there are also services to the islands of Rhodes, Samos and Simi.
For those with children,why not spend a day at the waterpark.
There are so many activities on offer including a trip up the Calbis river to the natural Mudbaths, after mudbath , Lunch in a riverside restaurant. Meandering through the reed beds of the Dalyan Delta where the film "African Queen" was made,on route to Iztuzu Beach, one of the world's few beaches where marine turtles come to rest overnight,take in the Ancient Caunos Rock Tombs set into the mountains.
The Ancient Roman City of Ephesus with the library of Celsus, theTemple of Artemis and 25,000 seat Amphitheatre.
Pammukale for it's unique landscape. All have local pick up, or why not just relax around the pool & gardens!

You have two fully fitted, air conditioned ensuite bedrooms which have integral mosquito screens fitted to windows, with two single beds in each that can be turned into very large doubles if required.

Your spacious air conditioned living area can accommodate two more guests if required by utilising the sofa bed. There is another sofa, tv, dvd/cd player
The Open plan living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen lead out via patio doors onto the 30m2 terrace with built in bbq overlooking the enticing pool & gardens.
Sun loungers are provided for you, for lazing around the pool or why not soak up the sun from the roof terrace,with extensive views of the sea , surrounding hills and countryside. this is shared with the upper apartment.
For the more enegetic there's the tennis court and gym adjacent (local charge for these).
