Welcome to Casa La Celada: Our home is a luxurious, bright and airy property which has been newly renovated and furnished to the highest standard.
Set out over 3 floors, Casa La Celada is a luxurious and substantial property nestling in the foothills of the Sierra Subbética Mountains an hour from Córdoba, Granada and Málaga.
Within an hour from Córdoba, a city that explodes into life in May revelling in Fiesta after Fiesta through to the end of September including the Noches de Embrujo or Magical Nights, Los Patios, the Guitar Festival and of course the world famous Mezquita Mosque.
Córdoba is also the northern tip of the Montilla Moriles Wine Route and offers museums, waterparks, botanical gardens, children's play areas and exquisite Moorish architecture.
An hour from Granada places us within striking distance of the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada ski resort, and the beautiful scenery around Granada including the Alpujarras and cave dwellings of Guadix.
An hour from Málaga - where you can relish the ancient archaelogy of the Alcazabar, spend quiet time in the exqusite Cathedral, view the paintings in Picasso's Museum or take a stroll along the beach or Calle Larios with the famous shops dotted on all sides ...
We are quite literally situated in the heart of Andalucía - and as such there is absolutely something for EVERYONE here at Casa La Celada.

The full Villa Rental Option offers our guests full use of our luxury home, either serviced or unserviced according to our guests requirements.
The property comprises the ground floor with three bedrooms (please see the description below), with an additional two further bedrooms and bathroom on the top floor - one double and one child's room aptly named "Paradise Pond" due to it being fully muralled! It can sleep two or three children in bunks with a "put you up" bed alongside ...
Our luxury kitchen offers a gas hob electric double oven Rangemaster cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, liquidiser, whisk, fridge and freezer. There is a television, CD and DVD player in the snug area which also houses a double sofabed and has Air Conditioning.
The large and beautiful family sitting room also offers a television, DVD and video player together with a large selection of films books and games.
There is the "family laptop" there which is has internet access. We also have WiFi if you wish to bring your own computer.
We have WiFi in the house and a laptop available for Internet Access for our Guests' Use. Air Conditioning in the rooms that need it!
Full Villa Rental includes all the facilties also mentioned below - the roof terrace with hot tub, barbeque, fridge, shaded and sunny seating areas.
Please note beach towels are NOT included and we have a minimum one week stay.
Our lovely sitting room has a roaring fire in the Winter supplied with local Olive wood from the year's prunings - the smell fills your senses and the flickering flames delight the eyes ...

Coming as a B&B Guest, you can choose from three double bedrooms : a luxury four poster suite with sitting room, double bathroom, jacuzzi bath and large walk in Grecian style shower; A further two twin bedded rooms that share the most exquisite canopied bathroom decorated to an equally high standard with separate bath and walk-in grecian style shower.
All rooms have copious quantities of information at your disposal, tea and coffee making facilities, and all linens and towels (except beach towels) are provided.
Breakfast is served in our beautiful family kitchen around our ten seater wrought iron and marble table from 9am unless otherwise specified where we have a toaster, kettle, microwave and offer a continental style breakfast with choice of juices, teas and coffees. Rooms are then serviced (optional) between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
We are also able to offer, strictly by prior arrangement, the invitation to dine with the family, catered by our wonderful ex Edinburgh gourmet chef. Please ask for details and costs.
We also offer use of our sitting room and roof terrace complete with barbeque, hot tub, shaded and sunny seating areas and a fridge during your stay.

You see we have everything – from a myriad of world famous historic sites and museums including the Mezquita in Córdoba city itself or the Alhambra in Granada to Flamenco Nights in the Ancient Quarters, a never ending selection of Exhibitions and Galleries, fierce and dramatic scenery together with the largest Nativity Scene hand made out of Chocolate on view every year from October 12th!

For the Children ...
For our younger clients we can offer water-parks in Córdoba, Granada, Málaga and Cádiz; Córdoba city boasts one of the largest play areas in Spain with over 4 hectares dedicated to our children. There are zoos and botanical gardens with a constantly changing selection of activities for all age groups and within 30 minutes´drive we have a Wolf Park and a BHS Standard Riding Stable. We have thermal rivers and spas to swim in, mountains to climb, views to be soaked up over a delicious picnic.
Within an hour you can arrive at Aquariums, Zoos, Dolphin Boat Trips, Crocodile Parks, Dolphinariums and some of the most dramatic walking scenery which is wonderful for climbing ...
As you can see, the list is truly endless.
SPORT
We have sporting activities to suit all levels and interests from guided walks, golf and fishing through to rock climbing, canyon descents and abseiling. In fact the Rio Verde is only a little over an hour away and is considered to be one of the best canyons in Europe!
We can also arrange parapenting, paintballing and hot air ballooning. Inland Spain is well known for wonderful mountain biking terrain and of course with our vast lake, we also have water sports available as well as exotic and luxurious Turkish Baths on offer in all the local cities.
Within a very short distance we have a BHS Riding Stable where all ages, sizes and abilities are catered for.

We endeavour to keep our Guest House well equipped with up-to-date information however all villages, towns and cities have their own Tourism Office if you are seeking something more.
Skiing in the Sierra Nevada
We have skiing a little over an hour away in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains and can even arrange an apartment for you there if you wish!
The resort is well supplied and we have personal contacts who speak all languages who will be happy to cater to your every requirement.
Pamper Treatments
We offer a wide selection of therapies to help our guests unwind including Reflexology, Healing, Chiropractic Massage, Full Body Massage, Manicures, Pedicures and Facials.
Treatments need to be reserved in advance, however where possible we will always do our best to make an appointment available where we can.
What´s On Offer?
Casa La Celada is the most central house in La Celada, one of the many "aldeas" or small satellite villages surrounding Iznájar.
We are right next door to the peaceful village bar with its adjoining shop where our guests are always welcomed with curious and childlike joy! We are also opposite La Celada's very own “Arkwrights” – the shop that sells everything - run by the lovely Isabel and Dulce. Everything you immediately need is a short stroll from our front door.
Markets come to the village randomly during the Summer and we have bread, fish, meat, vegetables and frozen goods delivered each week.
Within a short distance of Casa La Celada we can arrange yoga days, yoga classes, painting courses, whisky tastings, fishing weekends, wine tastings, bird watching and we can arrange fully guided tours to absolutely anywhere you would wish to go with a bilingual trained tour guide.

We are proud to say that our furnishings have been sourced locally with very few exceptions, drawing on the craftsmanship for which this area is famous. We have paid attention to the details of being “environmentally friendly” without asking our guests to compromise on comfort.
We are also delighted that broadband has arrived at Casa La Celada with WiFi for those of you who cannot be separated from your laptops!

Rute - One of our Local Towns
Clinging to the side of the southernmost beginnings of the Sierra Subbética, Rute is home to the famous BELEN. Belen is Spanish for the Nativity Scene, and Rute each year around the 12th October opens the doors of Galleros to millions of people coming from all over to witness :
